Easy Great Reflexology
Reflexology – One of my “7 Must-Do” things for summer is go barefoot – so why
not
give yourself or a partner a reflexology treatment while you are sans shoes. It is
so easy to do and brings
so much pleasure during those lazy long summer nights.
When I was in China, I received the best foot massage of my life – I slept for
two hours solid after the treatment. I remember the practioner filled a large
wooden bucket with boiling hot water and placed it at the end of the bed
so I could soak both my feet in it while I was laying back on the bed.
Estacy redefined! (So much more enjoyable than sitting on the edge of
your bathtub with your jeans rolled up). You’ll need a bucket large and
tall enough so that you can soak both feet comfortably while sprawled on
your back on the bed. Then close your eyes and listen to a relaxing new age
tape and enjoy
the heat of the water. When the water begins to cool down, towel off
and remain on the bed in a comfy cross-legged position. Begin with your toes –
gently massaging
each one and working out the tension. Then the area below your toes on
the souls of your feet, then the arch massaging deeper and using the flat of your
thumb pressing and staying on a spot for a while to release tension. Let your
body guide you to where and how much pressure to use. Getting in touch with
your
feet has never been more healing.
